This Amous TMS update makes Trip Leg Rating faster and more accurate: add or uplift a leg rate from the trip's Action Center, let a customer contract set the carrier, rate, and Bill To when you rate a leg, and see each leg rate as its trip's revenue. It also adds item-length accessorial rating, an Order Items page, locked report filters for users without the Report permission, and year and month formats in sequences.
Trip Leg Rating: Leg Rates from the Action Center
We have added Add Leg Rate and Apply Leg Rate Uplift to the trip's Action Center, so you can price a leg without opening the Leg Rates tab. Apply Leg Rate Uplift sets the leg rate to the trip's carrier rate plus a flat or percentage uplift - for example, a $650 carrier rate with a $200 flat uplift gives an $850 leg rate. Only that leg rate changes: the carrier rate stays as it is, and the order's customer rate updates from its legs as usual.
To price a leg - Trip > Action Center > Add Leg Rate or Apply Leg Rate Uplift. When the trip carries more than one order, Add Leg Rate asks which order you are pricing.
Leg Rates from a Customer Contract: Carrier, Rate, and Bill To in One Step
When you add a leg rate from a customer contract that has Use Carrier Price For Trip Rate turned on, Amous now assigns the carrier from the carrier contract linked to it, sets that carrier contract's rate as the trip's carrier rate, and then applies the uplift and the contract's Bill To override. Adding the leg rate is enough on its own - there is no carrier rate to add first.
The contract's Bill To override now also reaches the trip when you apply a customer rate on the order, or add a carrier rate to a trip that already has a leg rate. It applies when every order on the trip belongs to the same customer; a trip consolidating orders for different customers keeps its default Bill To.
Trip Earnings: Leg Rates as Trip Revenue
On an order priced with leg rates, each trip's revenue in the order's Earnings is now that trip's leg rate, rather than a share of the order total split by distance. Each trip's margin and RPM, Route Margin, and the Cost Allocation panel use the same figure, so a profitable leg no longer shows a loss.
Order totals stay the same, and orders without leg rates keep the distance-based split.
Accessorials: Rate by Item Length
We have added an Item Length matrix to accessorials and shared accessorials, so an oversize charge is added for each item whose length falls in a range you set - for example, $100 for every item between 96 and 120 inches. The ranges work like a fuel scale matrix, in inches, feet, centimeters, or meters, and an item outside every range gets no charge.
Your Amous Admin sets it on the accessorial in Configurations > Accessorials: choose Item Length as the Matrix Type, pick the Matrix UOM, and add the ranges. The accessorial's rate type must be Flat.
Order Items: Every Item Line in One List
We have added an Order Items page with one row for every item line across your orders - its description, commodity, freight class, quantity, weight, dimensions, and other item details - together with the order and trip it moves on, the pickup and drop locations, and the pickup and drop dates. Filter, sort, and export it like any other report.
You will find it under Views > Order Items.
Report Filters: Locked for Users Without the Report Permission
Users without the Report permission can no longer add, remove, or change a report's filters, so the lists you set up for them show only what they were built to show. Their column filters now narrow the report's results instead of replacing its filters, and on the Dispatch Board, global search and the Primary Reference search stay within the report. This applies to every report-based list, from Orders and Invoices to Fleet lists and the Dispatch Board.
To let those users adjust a filter, check Allow Edit next to it in Edit Report - they can then change that filter's operation and value. Users with the Report permission work with filters as before.
Gmail Integration: Send from a Shared Address
We have added a Branch Send As Email setting to the Gmail integration, so the emails Amous sends through Gmail can go out from a shared group address - for example, your dispatch team's address - instead of the connected account.
To set it up:
1. In the Gmail account you connect to Amous, go to Settings > See all settings > Accounts and Import (or Accounts) > Send mail as > Add another email address, then add and verify the group address.
2. Your Amous Admin then goes to Configurations > Communication > Mails, connects that Gmail account as the Branch Email, and enters the group address in Branch Send As Email.
Sequences: Year and Month in Your Numbers
We have added a Date Format option to sequences, so order and trip numbers can include the year and month they were created in. The date follows each record's creation date, so the numbers move to the new month on their own and nobody has to change a prefix on the first of the month.
Your Amous Admin sets it on the sequence in Sequences.
UI & Reporting Updates
Centralized Dispatch has new fields to filter and report on, including the first and last stop's address, Bill To, trip distance, and sales representatives.
The Fleet Maintenance list can now be exported with its charges, using Generate Excel With Charges.
Buttons, the Cancel and Close page buttons, and form fields have a refreshed, more compact design.
