This Amous TMS update introduces Trip Leg Rating - price each leg of a multi-trip order on its own terms while your customer still receives one invoice - and puts the carrier contracts you have granted to a customer at the top when you rate their trips. It also adds an auto-apply toggle for contract accessorials, accessorial types, dimensions in Rate Shop, and trip references and margin on the customer invoice report.
Trip Leg Rating: Price Each Leg of an Order
We have added leg rates, so an order that moves on more than one trip can be priced to the customer one leg at a time - for example, a flat markup on an outside carrier's cost for one leg and a percentage on your own fleet's rate for the next. The order's customer rate is kept as the sum of its leg rates, and the customer still receives one invoice for the order.
Add a leg rate from the trip for each order the trip carries: rate it on the customer's contracts with Show Rates - the customer and branch come from the order, the lane and freight from the trip - or apply a flat or percentage uplift to the trip's carrier rate. The first leg rate takes over the order's customer rate and keeps the previous rate for history, and depending on your configuration the leg charges are grouped by charge type or itemized leg by leg.
The order's rate screen shows the order rate beside a tab for each leg, so you can see what the price is made of and edit the legs together. Trip reports also gain Total Customer Leg Rate and its charges, next to the carrier rate.
Carrier Contracts: Customer-Specific Contracts First
We have added the ability to grant a carrier contract to a customer, so the carrier rates you have negotiated for that customer are kept apart from the rest. When you rate a trip, contracts granted to the customers on the trip are listed at the top, above your general carrier contracts, with a new Granted to Customer column showing who each one belongs to.
To see only those contracts - Trip > Carrier Rates > Add > Show Rates > Show Customer Specific Contracts. General contracts stay available below them; nothing is removed from the list.
Contract Accessorials: Auto-Apply Toggle
We have added an auto-apply toggle to each accessorial on a contract. With it on, the accessorial is added to the rate as soon as the contract is selected; with it off, the accessorial stays with the contract and is offered in the accessorials list, and when you pick it the contract rate comes with it - no rate to type in.
Across Amous, the accessorials dropdown is now grouped into Contract Accessorials, Shared Accessorials, and General Accessorials, with the rate shown next to each contract and shared accessorial - for example, "Airport Entrance Fee - $150".
Accessorial Types: Offer Each Accessorial Where It Belongs
We have added a type to accessorials - Carrier, Customer, Driver, Vendor, or Service Vendor - so each accessorial is offered only on that side's rates, contracts, invoices, and payroll. An accessorial can carry more than one type, shared accessorials work the same way, and an accessorial with no type stays available everywhere.
Existing accessorials start with no type, so nothing changes until you set one. Your Amous Admin sets types in Configurations > Accessorials.
Dispatch Board: Team Driver Column
We have added a separate Team Driver column to the dispatch board, so you can see both drivers on a team trip at a glance.
Hourly Rates: Hours from Actual Stop Times
We have updated hourly driver and customer rates so the hours can be calculated from the trip's actual status times - from arrival at the first stop to departure from the last stop - rather than from the event times planned when the order was created. Minutes are now counted too, so partial hours are paid and billed accurately.
Customer Invoice Report: Trip References and Margin
We have added Trips: Primary References, Margin, and Margin Percentage to the customer invoice report. Trips: Primary References lists the primary reference of every trip that ran the invoice's order, so you can reconcile an invoice against carrier costs and PODs - or find it from a trip number your customer or carrier quotes - without opening the order. Add them in Edit Report like any other column.
API Carriers: Customer Integration Overrides on Trip Rates
Carrier Integration Overrides set for a customer now also apply when you rate an API carrier from the trip, not only from the order. The rate request goes out under the customer's own carrier account number, so customers who negotiate directly with a carrier get their own rates, and when you select the rate, the customer's Bill To override is applied to the trip.
On a consolidated trip, the override applies when every order on it belongs to the same customer; a trip carrying orders for different customers is rated on your main account. If you would like carrier integration overrides set up, please reach out to your Amous Representative.
Estes: Choose Whether to Save the Tracking Number
We have added a Pull Tracking Number setting to the Estes integration, so you can decide whether the tracking number from Estes is saved on the trip. Your Amous Admin sets it in the Estes integration configuration.
Own Company Carrier Invoices: Separate Settings
We have added a separate set of carrier invoice settings for own company carriers - the parts of your business that you dispatch as a carrier - so their invoices can follow different rules from those of your outside carriers. Automatic creation, invoice date, default status, net days, invoice numbering, and default attachments can each be set on their own, and default invoice status rules can now be scoped to own company carriers. Your Amous Admin sets these in the carrier invoice configuration.
UI & Reporting Updates
Fleet Documents now includes branch and assigned division, and can be filtered by them as well as by driver status and by truck and trailer status, including Out of Service.
Geofencing zone reports can now include the branch name.
The Fleet Driver audit now shows the user and the trip behind a change to a driver's future available location, instead of System User.
Centralized Dispatch no longer appears in the menu for users with the Customer user type.
The report filter pop-up and page footers have a refreshed design.
