This Amous TMS update brings full Drop Trailer support across order setup, the dispatch board, and the driver app, so every drop-and-hook move is tracked and the picked-up or dropped trailer is always clear. It also adds custom-shaped (polygon) geofences, automatic shipment closing, control over canceled loads on the Available Drivers report, and a FEIN/SSN Tax ID Type on vendor adjustments.
Drop Trailer
We have added full Drop Trailer support across order setup, the dispatch board, and the driver app - so you can manage drop-and-hook moves and always know which trailer was picked up or dropped at each stop.
Turn on the Drop Trailer switch on a Location Template (pickup/drop location). On those stops, drivers select the picked-up and dropped trailer before closing the event - or choose No Trailer; the dispatch board identifies the picked-up or dropped trailer numbers under the Trailer row in the Carrier/Fleet column.
Custom-Shaped Geofences
We have added custom-shaped geofences. Instead of only a center point and radius, you can now draw a geofence as a custom polygon by placing points on the map - so it fits long lots, L-shaped yards, and other sites a circle can't cover accurately. You will find this when creating or editing a geofence.
Vendor Adjustments: FEIN or SSN Tax ID Type
We have added a Tax ID Type to vendor adjustments, so you can mark each vendor as FEIN or SSN and filter and sort by it for reportable fields - keeping vendor tax reporting accurate.
Auto-Close Shipments
We have added the ability to close shipments automatically once their last event has passed. A daily process runs at midnight and completes shipments based on the last event's date and time plus a configurable number of hours.
Your Amous Admin sets the Auto Complete After Hours value in the Trip general configuration.
UI & Reporting Updates
Geofencing zones now display two-letter state abbreviations.
