Know Everything About Your Trailer
Connect your trailer tracking provider to Amous TMS. No phone calls, no spreadsheets.
Works with SkyBitz, ORBCOMM, Powerfleet, Spireon, Anytrek, GPS and Fleet, Motive, and Samsara
-
Real-time location: each trailer’s latest position on the fleet map, plus on-demand refresh.
-
Geofencing and detention alerts: know when trailers arrive at or leave a yard, shipper, or customer, so long dwell times get noticed.
-
Temp tracking for reefers: monitor reefer temperatures alongside location to protect cold-chain loads.
-
Battery health at a glance: GOOD, LOW, or NO_CHARGE status with alerts when it changes. I added this fourth one because it comes from your original info and fills out the row evenly. It’s easy to remove if you only want your three.

How Trailer Data Moves Into
Once your tracking integration is turned on, here's what happens every time a new position comes in.
1
Amous checks in
Amous pulls the latest trailer positions from your provider on a regular schedule, as long as the integration's branch is active.
2
Finds the right trailer
Each position is matched to the correct trailer in Amous using the tracking device's ID.
3
Updates the location
The trailer's Last Known Location is replaced with the new coordinates, address details, and provider name.
4
Logs history and geofences
Meaningful moves, plus arrivals and departures at your geofences, are saved to the trailer's history.
5
Shares it everywhere
Fleet maps, trailer reports, mobile views, and alerts all use the new data right away.
What Your Integration Keeps Up to Date
Four pieces of trailer information update automatically, so your team always works from the same picture.
Last Known Location
Every trailer has one current location that's always the latest position from your provider.
GPS coordinates
City, state, postal code, and country when available
Which tracking provider reported it
Trailer Tracking History
Past positions are saved separately in Trailer Tracking, so you can see where a trailer has been.
Location and date recorded
Battery status, when your provider shares it
The current trip, if the trailer is on one
Battery Status
Turn your provider's battery reading into a simple status you can read at a glance. When it changes, a notification can go out based on your notification rules.

NO_CHARGE
Geofences and Home Base
Every trailer has one current location that's always the latest position from your provider.
Current geofence is updated automatically
Optional entry and exit notifications
Alerts when a trailer leaves/returns to home base state
A Clean History, Not a Wall of Pings
Trackers report often. Amous only saves the moves that matter, so your trailer history stays easy to read.

At most one regular entry per hour
A new regular history entry is only considered if nothing has been recorded in the past hour.

Small moves don't add clutter
If the trailer is less than 100 meters from its last regular position, Amous updates that entry's date instead of adding a new one.

Geofence changes always count
Sitting in the same geofence won't create duplicates, but every arrival and departure is recorded when the geofence changes.
Good to know: your Last Known Location still updates with every new position. These rules only decide what gets saved to the history log.
Need it now? Hit Refresh.
Don't want to wait for the next automatic sync? Use the location refresh button on any connected trailer.
Amous pulls the latest position from your provider right away
It's saved as the trailer's Last Known Location
The same history and geofence rules apply
Heads up: the position may have been reported by the device a little before you clicked, and a manual refresh doesn't update battery status
