How a Shipment Moves Through
From the first quote to the signed delivery receipt, here's what happens with a connected carrier.
1
Get rates
Amous requests quotes from your connected carriers using your configured accounts and the customer's integration settings.
2
Schedule pickup
Pick a rate and book the pickup with the carrier right from the order.
3
Create the BOL
Amous creates an electronic BOL with the carrier, and the BOL number comes back to the order.
4
Labels and pickup
Generate shipping labels. Tracking and pickup confirmation numbers are saved to the shipment automatically.
5
Tracking
Status, location, pickup details, ETAs, and actual delivery dates update on the shipment as the carrier reports them.
6
Receive documents
Pull in documents like the proof of delivery (POD), based on the document types you've set up.
7
Receive the invoice
The carrier's invoice arrives in Amous TMS through EDI and lands on the shipment, ready for your team to review. No portal logins and no re-keying.
What Your Integration Brings Back
Every booking and tracking request returns real carrier data to the shipment, so your team isn't copying numbers from emails or portals.
Shipment references
The numbers you need to find the shipment later, saved to the order the moment they're created.

One Status Language for Every Carrier
Each carrier describes the same moment its own way. Amous maps every carrier status to a matching system status, so your boards, reports, and alerts read the same no matter who's hauling.

Services and Accessorials, Mapped for You
Every carrier names its accessorial services differently. Add a service like liftgate or residential delivery to a shipment once in Amous, and it's mapped to each carrier's own service code, so quotes and BOLs carry the right accessorials.

Find Any Shipment, However You Look It Up
